ei: US vetoes Security Council resolution on violence in Gaza

The United Nations Security Council failed today to adopt a draft resolution calling for the immediate and unconditional release of the Israeli soldier abducted by Palestinian armed groups from Gaza and for a halt to what it called a “disproportionate” military reaction by Israel, due to a veto by the United States, which called the text unbalanced and outdated.

John Bolton against Palestinian Right

Maybe Bolton referering to this past atrocities also by Israel Army, the most moral army in the world..

Meanwhile, workers.org run report about “Who’s imprisoned in Israeli jails?“.

The extremely difficult situation of approximately 10,000 political prisoners held in a constellation of Zionist prisons is central for understanding the events unfolding in Occupied Palestine and Lebanon. Most of the prisoners are Palestinian, while a smaller number are Lebanese and Jordanian. They include men, women and children, and also elected officials. Some have been jailed since the 1970s.

Would Bolton propose a resolution to help them? I extremely don’t think it is possible :-( What an (in)justice world we are living now…

(updated) 4 UN observers have been killed, which Mr.Annan said “apparently deliberate targeting by Israeli Defence Forces”
