Dikebirinya PBB dalam masalah Palestina

Menarik membaca laporan diplomat PBB De Soto, seorang diplomat yang tercerahkan (mengutip kategori seorang kawan), terkait Palestina dan hubungannya dengan PBB. Laporan tersebut bisa dibaca dengan mengetikkan kata kunci Secret UN report condemns US for Middle East failures karena judul laporannya adalah kalimat tersebut.

Jawa Pos mempunyai artikel yg mengupas laporan ini ditulis oleh Riza Sihbudi. Selain itu, sumber pertama yang membuka dokumen rahasia tersebut, koran The Guardian, tentu saja juga bisa dibaca artikelnya.

Berikuti kutipan artikel di Riza: “Karma Nabulsi, fellow di Oxford University, dalam artikelnya di The Guardian (edisi 18/06/2007: The people of Palestine must finally be allowed to determine their own fate) mengutip pernyataan de Soto yang mungkin akan membuat kita sedikit terperangah: “The US clearly pushed for a confrontation between Fatah and Hamas, so much so that, a week before Mecca, the US envoy declared twice in an envoys meeting in Washington how much ’I like this violence’, referring to the near-civil war that was erupting in Gaza in which civilians were being regularly killed and injured.”

Doa saya untuk bapak Jeffrie Geovanie: semoga Allah menunjuki anda (dan kita semua) ke jalan Nya. Hanya Allah sajalah, pencipta dan penguasa alam semesta, yang berkuasa atas segala sesatu.

Tuhan Tak Bisa Disentuh, Tapi Dapat Diajak Dialog – Jaringan Islam Liberal (JIL) Surga bagi saya ada ketika kita bisa meninggalkan dunia dengan nama baik buat anak-anak, istri, dan keluarga. Orang mengenang kita sebagai orang baik yang bermanfaat buat orang lain. Neraka adalah ketika kita tidak berbuat apapun, atau berbuat buruk dalam hidup; ketika orang menista kita sesudah kita tak ada lagi. Itulah sebenar-benarnya neraka bagi saya.

Surga dan Neraka di Yaumul Akhir nanti pasti merupakan sesuatu yg ada. Dan pasti anda menyesal kalau tidak menginginkan Surga tersebut. Semoga kita tidak menjadi orang seperti yg disebutkan dalam ayat 2:200-201. Insya Allah kalau Allah sebagai tujuan, kita akan mendapatkan surga di dunia yg fana (sementara), beserta surga di akhirat yg kekal.
